Holiday Chocolate Orange Spice

Tis’ the season and nothing tastes like the holidays more than aromatic warm spices, bright citrus and rich chocolate! This festive holiday tea is sure to bring the holidays into your cup and your spirits! Enjoy steamy hot, make a latte or add a splash of chocolate liqueur and a dollop of freshly whipped cream for a decadent holiday treat!

Quantity: 50 grams

Ingredients: Black tea, oranges, cinnamon, cacao beans, cardamom, calendula, citrus leaf, clove and organic pure oils

Tasting Notes: Rich black tea scented with sweet cinnamon and orange balanced with notes of dark chocolate

Antioxidant Level:  High

Caffeine Level: Medium

Brewing Temperature: 100ºC/212ºF

Steep Time: 4 – 5 minutes (For a stronger brew use more tea rather than steeping longer, over steeping pulls out the tannins in tea which can cause a bitter taste)

Holiday Latte
• Steep 2 heaped teaspoons of Holiday Chocolate Orange Spice in 1/2 cup pure water (boiled to 100ºC/212ºF) for 4 – 5 minutes
• Strain tea into a warmed mug
• Add 3/4 cup of steamed milk of choice (or milk heated in a pot on the stove or microwave)
• Sweeten if desired with sweetener of choice or cinnamon simple syrup
• Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream and a dusting of ground cinnamon
• Optional: Omit sweetener and add a splash of sweet chocolate liqueur

Culinary Uses: Use steeped tea as the liquid in sweet or savory recipes. Adds holiday flavour to cakes, cookies and icings
