Sweet Apple Crumble Fruit Tea

If you love the aroma of fresh apple pie baking in the oven this aromatic fruit tea is for you! Filled with crisp sweet apples, autumn berries, warm cinnamon and spice, this harvest tea is like a fall apple crumble in a cup! Enjoy steamy hot or chill and serve over ice for a delicious apple cider drink. For a hot apple toddy - brew a cup of Sweet Apple Crumble and add a splash of spiced rum, bourbon or brandy.

Quantity: 50 grams

Ingredients: Sweet and tart apples, elderberry, honeybush, cranberry, hibiscus,  rosehips, cinnamon, calendula, stevia, clove, nutmeg and pure organic oils

Tasting Notes: Fresh crisp apple and sweet honeybush balanced with tart hibiscus and warm cinnamon spice

Brewing Hot Tea:
• Bring fresh cold water to a rolling boil 100C/212F.
• Put 1 heaped teaspoon of tea for each 8oz (237ml) cup into a mug or teapot
• Pour boiled water over tea and let steep 5 -10 minutes
• Strain and sweeten if desired

Making Iced Tea:
• Bring fresh cold water to a rolling boil 100C/212F
• Put 2 heaped teaspoons of tea for each cup (8oz/237ml) into a teapot or heat-resistant pitcher
• Add boiled water and steep for 15 - 30 minutes (or up to overnight in the fridge for maximum strength)
• Strain, sweeten to taste, chill and serve

Culinary Uses: Brewed tea can be used as the liquid in baking, sweet or savoury recipes. Use steeped tea as you would juice. Strongly brewed the tea can be turned into homemade spiced apple jelly or sweet apple syrup. Makes a lovely poaching liquid for fresh or dried fruits. Delicious as an iced apple cider, a base for cocktails or a hot apple toddy.

Culinary Tip: Steep twice as strong for use in recipes or as a base for drinks.
