Organic Midnight Jasmine Green Tea

A delicately scented exquisite green tea only made possible by the pre-dawn picking of midnight May jasmine flowers. This particular Jasmine plant (Jasminum sambac) comes into bloom during May and June. The blossom lasts 12 hours and only opens at night after the sun goes down. Halfway through the night, the fragrance is at its peak, and this is when the blossoms are picked and layered into the waiting green tea. By morning the fragrance has disappeared from the blossom, but the heavenly jasmine scent has been captured and preserved in the tea. A delightful, fragrant green tea to sip and savour.

Tasting Notes: Delicate floral notes of jasmine, lightly vegetative

Caffeine Level: Low

Brewing Temperature: 85ºC/185ºF. Bring pure water to the boil 100ºC/212ºF and let it cool down to 85ºC/185ºF.
Steep Time: 2 - 4 minutes minutes

Tea Tip: This tea is meant to be sipped and savoured on its own. No milk, sugar, lemon or mint are recommended
