Fresh Peppermint Lemon Tea Recipe

Ingredients: (1–2 cups)
• 1 generous handful fresh organic peppermint leaves (about 10–15 sprigs) or 1–2 tsp Organic Peppermint Tea
• 2 cups just-boiled water
• 2 – 3 slices/wedges fresh lemon
• Optional: 1–2 tsp honey or preferred sweetener
• Optional pantry addition: a small pinch of culinary Organic Rose Petals

Instructions:
1. Prepare the peppermint:
Gently rinse fresh leaves. Lightly bruise them by pressing between your fingers or the back of a spoon to release the oils and deepen the flavour.
Tip: Dried peppermint can be used directly in an infuser or teapot.
2. Steep: Place the peppermint in a teapot or cup. Pour over hot water (just off the boil) and cover. Steep for 5–7 minutes for fresh leaves, 5–8 minutes for dried. Covering helps trap the essential oils for maximum aroma.
3.. Remove the leaves (or infuser) and squeeze in 1 lemon wedge – garnish with remaining lemon pieces. Sweeten lightly with honey if desired. Taste and adjust for brightness or sweetness.

Optional garnish: For a subtle botanical touch, add a pinch of dried rose petals. These make the tea visually appealing and slightly aromatic—perfect for sharing or serving as a springtime treat.

Tips:
• Cover while steeping to keep the flavour fresh and aromatic.
• Adjust lemon and sweetener to your preference; this recipe is meant to highlight the clean, crisp herbal taste.
• Great for batching: double the ingredients and refrigerate for a fabulous iced tea
