Leopard Snow Buds

There are only a handful of villages in the Wuyi Mountains that make this special tea and only certain bushes are selected. The bud and first leaf of new shoots are plucked during late March to early April between the hours of 3:30am – 7am when dew is heaviest on the leaves. The leaves are then rushed to the tea factory where they are hand rolled and steamed to capture the cool and crisp pre-dawn taste of green tea. Some of the leaves are covered with a 'white down' which signifies new, fresh and pure - characteristics that are held in high regard by those striving for the ultimate in tea quality. Green tea, above all others has a very delicate flavor, which is easily marred by the impurities in the water used for brewing it. As with all tea, only pure water is recommended for brewing.

Ingredients: Non-fermented, hand sorted green tea. Very light pale green liquoring in the cup

Tasting Notes: Exquisite fresh green tea character

Antioxidant Level: Very High
Caffeine Level: Low

Brewing Temperature: 85ºC/185ºF. Bring pure water to the boil 100ºC/212ºF and let it cool down to 85ºC/185ºF.
Steep Time: 3-5 minutes

Tea Tip: This tea is meant to be sipped and savored on its own. No milk, sugar, lemon or mint are recommended
