If you love coffee, you’ll love the flavour of chicory! The root of this perennial herb is roasted to create a delicious drink similar to deep-roast coffee.  Chicory has antifungal, antiviral, anti-bacterial and anti-carcinogenic properties, which makes it an impressive herb with powerful health benefits.

Hot Tea: Bring pure cold water to a rolling boil. Put 1 heaped teaspoon of tea for each 8 oz. (237 ml) of water into a mug or teapot. Add freshly boiled water (100ºC/212ºF) and steep 4 – 7 minutes. Chicory can also be made in a sauce pot on the stove or using a French press.
Latte: Brew chicory with milk of choice and sweeten to taste for a delicious latte.
