Merry December! With the beautiful Season of Light comes special celebrations, fabulous foods and wonderful drinks. One of the traditional favourites is a rich, thick, holiday egg nog. Are you a fan? If you’re sitting on the ‘nog’ fence, this updated version might just tip the scale! Homemade vegan nog is best in this recipe, as its lighter and less sweet, but your favorite store-bought one will work too. Steeped with Spiced Vanilla Chai it’s the best lip-licking nog upgrade you’ll ever taste!


Spiced Vanilla Chai Nog

Makes 1 Litre

• 1 liter (1 quart) of chilled homemade nog or store-bought eggnog
• 8 heaped teaspoons (24 grams) of Spiced Vanilla Chai
Optional: Rum or Brandy

• Stir Spiced Vanilla Chai into chilled homemade nog or store-bought eggnog
• Store in the fridge overnight (8 hours or up to 12)
• Strain, store in fridge, and use within 4-5 days
• Optional spirits can be added when serving

• Serve the Spiced Vanilla Chai Nog in a glass or clear mug with a dusting of ground cinnamon or nutmeg
• Add optional Rum or Brandy and a cinnamon stir stick. Delicious!
• For an extra rich nog top with a dollop of freshly whipped cream and a dusting of ground cinnamon
